Church Location: 303 Coteau St. W. Moose Jaw, SK S6H 5C8
We know it can be intimidating to visit a church. Maybe it’s been a long time since going
to church was part of your life. You might have decided at some point that “church isn’t
for me” or got frustrated with what you saw as a place full of hypocrites… people who
“talked the talk but didn’t walk the walk”. You might remember church as being
terribly boring…or even have hurt feelings or deep wounds from things said or done to
you by people at a church.
No matter what your “church background” or experience is, we want to extend an invitation
to you to give church another try. To help address any fear or apprehension you might have,
we want to describe what our church is like when we get together. First, we’re a young
church and a “smaller” church, which fosters a “family atmosphere” when we meet. Newcomers
have described us as having a “laidback” or relaxed atmosphere; that’s something we have
worked hard to build. We meet Sunday nights to remove some of the “mental barriers” and
formality of Sunday morning church, and we dress casually because we believe what matters
is on the inside, not outward appearance. We’ll greet you at the door and offer you some
juice or coffee before we start.
The service itself is a great time of celebration for us. As a visitor, we’ll never put
you on the spot to speak or participate, but you’ll notice right away that our meetings
are very interactive. Our “regular folks” share about the good things happening in their
lives and the challenges they face. We sing, talk, and pray together in a way that helps
us grow in our understanding of God and our love for each other. The Bible is at the
centre of all that we do at Prairie Winds. We’re not a perfect church and we don’t pretend
we are. We’re just a community of broken people that God has put back together, trying to
live out the purpose we have found for our lives. We’d like to invite you to come on out!
Hello,
On behalf of Prairie Winds Church (PWC) I would like to welcome you to our website.
We at PWC desire to love God and one another. We also want to reach out to the world
with the good news of eternal life through our Lord Jesus. We trust that this website
is able to give you a snapshot of what is meaningful at PWC, and to answer other
questions you might have. We would like to extend an invitation for you to be our
guest. We want you to have the opportunity to meet with our Lord and experience
his transforming power. We gather on
Sunday evenings at 6 PM. If you have any questions please feel free to email us
at p.w.c@sasktel.net or contact us by phone at 306-692- 6792.

Priority 1: A deepening love for God and His word.
Priority 2: A growing love for one another.
Priority 3: Loving and reaching our world.
We envision becoming an Action-Driven Church; serving botht eh kingdom of God
and meeting the felt needs of our community...a church without walls
where no one walks alone.
Our Purpose: To know, love, and serve God and one another.
- God is bigger and better and closer than we can imagine.
- The Bible is God’s perfect guidebook for living.
- Jesus is God showing himself to us.
- Through His Holy Spirit, God lives in and through those who know Christ.
- Nothing in creation “just happened.” God made it all.
- Grace is the only way to have a relationship with God.
- Faith is the only way to grow in our relationship with God.
- God has allowed evil to provide us with a choice, God can bring good even out of evil events and God promises victory over evil to those who choose him.
- Heaven and hell are real places. Death is a beginning, not the end.
- The church is to serve people like Jesus served people.
- Jesus is coming again.
